Relationship Quote 41

"Most of what passes for morality is just obedient cowardice."

–Friedrich Nietzsche

Become the scariest version of yourself possible, then learn to control it.

There is far more evil in this world due to cowardice, than evil, that is to say that an evil man can only do so much but when that evil man has 100 cowards to do his bidding, he is far more powerful.  History teaches us that evil rises and falls continuously and often it require more sacrifice than it should to tamp down evil because so many people didn’t stop it when it was far less powerful.  This is a theme as old as history itself and yet for some reason we continue to prefer cowardice over courage and that is most likely linked to the difficulty of integrating the shadow self.  By learning how much evil lives inside you, what kind of a monster you can become, you will learn what you are capable of.  Then you must learn to control it, this is vital because when evil comes knocking at your door, you may be the one who can stop millions of deaths or simply the death of your own soul. Either way the struggle to integrate the shadow is a deeply necessary and intense struggle that is vital to living a worthwhile life.
