Kindness can be more destructive than evil when allowed to go unchecked.
The pursuit of happiness in a religious context is often seen as to take on responsibility and as such, a kind person doing what he sees as kindness for kindness’ sake will cause more damage to those he helped because he took away their ability to take responsibility from themselves. Giving someone a solution to a problem such as money, in the short term is a win win but in the long term will almost always leads to the end of that relationship because the recipient of the gift starts to feel the pain of uselessness which they rightly lay at the feet of the person who stepped in and took their responsibility away from them. Don’t loan or give people money, that is the same as signing the death certificate of your relationship!
