"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth."
Listen to old people, 50% of the time they are right, problem is it’s almost always the 50% you don’t want to hear.
As we get older, our filters start to fall away and our care for what others think fades to a shadow of its former self. Once we reach the later stages of life, our minds are sometimes feeble but that does not mean we don’t have wisdom. Listen and critically think about what old people say, sometimes it’s the ramblings of a lonely old man but sometimes it’s the truth dismissed as ramblings because admitting it’s true is painful. Fight through that pain and be open to the possibility you are not as great as you think you are, the more humble are you in exploring yourself, the more empathy you have for your own imperfections and the better you become.
