Farm2Veteran: Over 250,000 Meals Donated!

In January 2020, we made a pivotal decision to transform our for-profit farm into Farm2Veteran, a charity dedicated to feeding veterans in need. Farming requires meticulous planning, often taking a year or more to see the fruits of our labor, and the outcome is always uncertain. By the end of 2021, we had donated 13,000 meals and realized the immense potential and need to do more.

To expand our reach, we began partnering with more charities that support veterans, providing them with nutritious, high-quality meals. Our approach to raising animals is unique: they enjoy vast outdoor spaces and are nurtured on lush pastures we have meticulously maintained. We prioritize feeding them the best natural food, which ensures that, for example, our chickens can freely forage for bugs and grass, resulting in high-quality eggs.

In 2022, we started raising a different breed of pig that produced a higher yield, which significantly boosted our meal donations from 13,000 to 58,000. This accomplishment expanded our reach beyond Illinois to Texas, where we partnered with an incredible ranch that generously provides us with meat for our veterans.

Entering 2023, we decided to extend our reach even further across the country. By partnering with Volunteers of America (VOA), we were able to feed veterans in Indiana and Michigan, increasing our meal donations from 58,000 to 77,000. This expansion highlighted the potential of collaborating with farmers nationwide who share our ethical approach to animal husbandry, supporting both the farmers and our mission.

As we move through 2024, we are thrilled to have achieved two major milestones: surpassing 100,000 meals donated in a single year and exceeding 250,000 meals in our charity’s lifetime. We are now providing food to VOA locations in Colorado, Florida, Washington, and South Dakotas.

To sustain our mission, we’ve begun working with an exceptional grant writer to secure funding. However, our success is truly due to the incredible support from our community. Together, we share a common goal: to give back to those who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom and way of life.

Thank you for your continued support. It means the world to us!

God bless our veterans, and God bless the United States of America!
